Middle School Programs

We are officially launching an afterschool program at Merrimac & Main for grades 5-8, starting fall 2024!!

Tentatively, we will offer a FREE drop-in space on Wednesdays from about 3:45 - 6:00 PM, where students can play games, do art, work on homework, or just spend time with one another. We will have a paid Coordinator with a background in teaching or childhood development on site at all times, and we will invite adult volunteers to teach pop-up classes, like Spanish conversation, acrylic painting, baking, Dungeons & Dragons, and more.

We also hope to launch an enrichment program on the Mondays when Dodgeville Middle School is not in session. There will be a small fee for this to help cover some of the costs, but we will subsidize this as much as possible. We are working out the details of whether this will take place all day or part of the day -- if you have thoughts, please let us know!

We hope to finalize our plans for these programs by early August 2024.
