Fruit Tree Grafting

Learn the basics of grafting fruit trees in this two hour workshop. We’ll cover the reasons to graft, timing, as well as the basic techniques and after care. Enrolled attendees will have a chance to practice grafting before grafting a couple of apple trees that you can take home with you! If you just want to come for the scion exchange, please arrive during the second hour with your offerings to share. The organizer will bring scion from their collection of 20+ heritage and disease resistant fruit varieties.

$30 cost includes two rootstock to graft onto. If supplies allow, additional rootstock may be purchased at cost. To keep this workshop accessible, we’re offering a number of scholarships to folks with limited income, just email if you need assistance. Min attendance 6. Max attendance 20.
