After School Program

Youth in grades 5-8 are invited to join Merrimac & Main's FREE after-school program!

There's a cozy room set aside for youth to just BE. We know they've had a long day at school, sitting still, and it's nice to have a space besides their home to hang out with peers and just relax. We provide snacks, games, and basic art supplies. Recently, they've loved playing ping pong and foosball with each other!

Almost every week, we have a special activity that they can choose from, such as a magic show, an art project, a baking or cooking workshop, etc, hosted by a community volunteer. We welcome ideas and more volunteers all the time.

This program is run by Rebecca Sykalski, M&M's Program Coordinator, who has a teaching degree, several years of public school experience and particular skills in leadership and curriculum development.
